Critical Hit

If you roll a 20 on the d20 for an attack roll, you score a Critical Hit, and the attack hits regardless of any modifiers or the target's AC.

A Critical Hit maximizes your attack's initial damage roll and lets you roll extra dice. When you roll your attack's damage dice, add the maximum possible value for each for those dice to the roll. Afterwards add any relevant modifiers.
